Hi Roger! Sorry we didn't get to meet at Weyfest, though I suspect with the miles I walked we probably passed each other a thousand times! Great site and thanks for the mention of Weyfest. All the best Ali

Hello Roger and Fran, Great website and I enjoy reading your diary notes very much - (usually Monday morning here in Oz.!) and reading about the gigs you visit and your family life! I found your website quite by accident a few months ago - I am interested in finding out more details about the get together of Mungo Jerry next year - I believe in Norway? Would love more information when it becomes available. Many thanks and hope the knee is on the mend! Regards, Linda Hill, Australia

Hi Fred Did we actually see Marc Bolan in the flesh at Baldock Youth Club when he played with John's Children? Can you remember? Best wishes An old friend.  Dear Old Friend (unspecified)  - Not so sure - I certainly went to see John's Children at Cambridge, and I think I also saw them at Bowes Lyon  (although they may have turned into T-Rex by then).  We did have the drummer from Johns Children at one of our parties at Eaton Socon - he came along with some American bloke my sister was seeing. As I recall he wore fantastic high heeled and soled boots - loads of lovely hippy colours.  We all ended up next day having a picnic by the river at Bedford where he told us about recording their single - "Come and Play With Me in the Garden".  Can't remember his name.
Or yours come to that.   The band I recall best from Baldock Youth Club was James King and The Farinas - who became The Family.

Greetings from West Yorkshire! We came across your site purely by accident but pleased we did. You've an excellent website! Your yearly picnic sounds great fun! Perhaps you could tell UKTVFood people about it and presenter Jeni and her crew might join you!! Free publicity too! If you ever move the picnic up North, we'll join you! Meanwhile, all good wishes. Hallo Julie - you left no email address, so I hope you sign in and read this again. We have picnickers who come to Runnymede from as far away as Harrogate - so dont be afraid to book a B&B - see the bright lights of Windsor - and then go home after the picnic !

So which do you reckon is the best gig/place that The Nashville Teens still play? I really look forward to hearing them play again in a quality acoustics venue.

PS. Would you like to borrow my 60s b/w photos to make copies, perhaps for the Front Page site?

At Heathrow in CX Lounge I just typed a long mesage on the Teens site but was blocked when I tried to "add comments" so I'm trying your site. Wonderful to hear Ray's great voice again after all these years and see the band play live. The sound was as good as ever though I was personally a bit disappointed not to hear my top Teens tracks which are TNT, Revived 45 Time, Sun Dog & Smokestack Lightning. Suppose the inclusion of Stones & Who covers is meant to broaden the appeal to younger listeners but next time I would like more real Teens numbers though I much enjoyed Mona & Hoochie Coochie. And when I asked for a T-shirt, there weren't any! Why aren't you flogging T-shirts & Repertoire CDs at such gigs?! Please send me 2 (XXL & L) and I'll send you a cheque : 5F, 852 Chungshan North Road, Section 5, Shilin, Taipei, Taiwan. I stayed at the other pub where the landlord told me 2 of the band were also staying. Thought the venue was interesting - are there any similar halls these days?
